Penn State’s HUB-Robeson Galleries have announced their exhibition schedule for the spring semester of 2022.

According to a statement, this semester’s exhibitions will focus on “contemporary portraits, stories and student-led projects.”

The following exhibits will be available for viewing at various locations in the HUB-Robeson Center, the HUB Gallery – which is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – and Art Alley, which is open whenever the HUB-Robeson Center is open. .

“True likeness”

The first of the spring semester exhibitions, “True Likeness,” will feature portraits of various artists in a variety of media including video, photography, drawing, sculpture, collage and more.

“True Likeness” will be available in the HUB gallery and in the art aisle from February 4 to March 20.

“Lunchbox Moments”

According to the release, “Lunchbox Moments” by artist Amie Bantz aims to empower marginalized voices through stories of consuming traditional Asian food at school or at home.

“Lunchbox Moments” will be on display in the windows of the HUB exhibition from January 26 to May 15.

Annual visual arts research exhibition

The annual graduate research exhibition showcases the work of several current applicants for the Masters of Fine Arts, who work in a variety of mediums.

The pieces will be judged and the students whose works are best judged will receive monetary awards, the statement said.

The academic research exhibition will be held in the HUB gallery from March 25 to April 17.

“Scattered land”

Inspired by miniature props from role-playing and war games, “Scatter Terrain” features the work of 25 artists who present “terrains” such as landscape and architecture as a way to connect with those far away.

“Scatter Terrain” will be available for viewing in Art Alley from March 24 to July 17.

All exhibits will be free and open to anyone interested, the statement said.
